Ethics Policy & Editorial Standards

Our ethical framework for independent journalism on artificial intelligence, power, and governance.

Last updated:

1. Our Ethical Commitment

MindPulse Network exists to provide independent, evidence-based journalism on artificial intelligence as a political, technological, and societal force.

Because AI systems increasingly shape public policy, economic power, democratic processes, and individual rights, we believe that AI journalism demands the highest ethical standards in reporting, fact-checking, and transparency.

Core Principle: AI journalism must serve the public interest, not corporate agendas or political pressure.

2. Editorial Independence

We maintain strict independence from entities we cover to ensure unbiased AI policy reporting:

  • No funding or sponsorship from technology or AI companies we cover.
  • No sponsored content, native advertising, or paid placements that compromise editorial integrity.
  • No editorial influence granted to donors, supporters, or external organizations.
  • All editorial decisions are based solely on public interest and journalistic merit.

3. Accuracy, Evidence, and Verification

Accuracy is the foundation of trustworthy journalism. Our verification standards include:

  • Primary sources are prioritized whenever possible for AI policy and governance reporting.
  • Direct links to original documents are provided to enable reader verification.
  • Anonymous sources are used only when strictly necessary, properly corroborated, and in the public interest.
  • Speculation and unverified claims are not published—we distinguish between confirmed facts and informed analysis.
  • Fact-checking is mandatory before publication for all statistical claims and factual assertions.

4. Power, Conflicts of Interest, and Access

AI is fundamentally about power—who controls it, who benefits, and who bears the costs. Our approach:

  • We analyze AI as a power-shaping system with political and economic implications.
  • Conflicts of interest are disclosed transparently when relevant to our coverage.
  • No gifts, travel, or preferential access from covered entities that could compromise independence.
  • No favorable coverage in exchange for access—editorial decisions remain independent.
  • We scrutinize regulatory capture, lobbying influence, and corporate power dynamics in AI governance.

5. Reporting, Analysis, and Opinion

All content is clearly labeled as reporting, analysis, or opinion to preserve transparency and reader trust.

  • Reporting: Factual coverage based on verified information and primary sources.
  • Analysis: Evidence-based interpretation that clearly distinguishes facts from conclusions.
  • Opinion: Clearly labeled editorial perspectives that are grounded in disclosed reasoning.

6. Responsible Use of Artificial Intelligence

As an AI-focused publication, we hold ourselves to rigorous standards for AI use in journalism:

  • AI tools may assist but never replace editorial judgment or human accountability.
  • No AI-generated facts, sources, or quotations—all factual claims are human-verified.
  • Human editors retain full responsibility for all published content and editorial decisions.
  • Material AI assistance is disclosed when AI tools contribute substantially to content production.
  • We do not use AI to fabricate interviews, generate misleading content, or automate investigative work.

7. Corrections and Accountability

Errors are corrected promptly and transparently. We maintain public accountability through:

  • Corrections are logged publicly and never silently edited without disclosure.
  • Our corrections page maintains a permanent record of substantive changes.
  • Context is preserved—we do not delete original content when correcting errors.
  • Readers can report errors via our contact email, and we investigate all credible reports.
